Time Flies Fast!

Thank you for praying and for writing! The trip up to Alaska was completed safely, Tuesday morning!  Traveling alone this year was different, but the Lord is very faithful. The flight to Anchorage was delayed over an hour but came in safe and sound. The Lord also provided a place to rest for a few hours before leaving the next morning for Kenai.
The Lord used a number of things in preparation for this trip and flying up, to confirm with me that HE wanted me to be here this summer. This has been a real encouragement and He continues to give me these confirmations, one after the other. Knowing this has been a real blessing and has given me much peace. I look forward to what the Lord has in store for this summer!

Alaska is as beautiful as ever. However, please keep in pray the recent fires that they have had down towards Kenai. We are far enough from them to be safe, but yesterday morning, smoke was again rising up above the trees in that direction.

The past few days have held alot of cleaning and preparation for the Shooter's Retreat which starts in about an hour. As the director here says" There will be alot of boys, with their toys, making noise!"

It has now been three days since arriving and already much has been accomplished! The internet has been very slow and it turns out my phone doesn't get service out here. This has been a disappointment, but the Lord continues to teach me about relying on Him. With that said, we are all trying to share the internet around here so this first update will be shorter than expected.

For all my worrying and fussing the Lord had everything well taken care of. How easy it is to fall into that sin. Even when it seems harmless, the truth is we are not trusting the Lord to keep His promises. We are not trusting Him to be faithful. We are not trusting Him period. This is something that God has been teaching me alot of lately even in the small, seemingly significant things-Trust Him for it.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
